About
{ Miss Carly }
This is my blog for parents and teachers.
I am twenty-three and hold my Diploma of Children’s Services. I am at Macquarie University currently and am undertaking a Bachelor of Education [Early Childhood Education].
I am completing my internship on a class of Kindergarten children (aged 5-6 years) and will have the pleasure of taking the class casually once I have finished. I also currently work for the university in helping them moderate and monitor another blog which is being used with Beebots and for a research paper.
I started this blog for two reasons.
:: Firstly, for myself. As I learn and see new resources all of the time, this is my way of being able to collate them all together and review them as I need to.
:: Secondly, for teachers and parents. As I have such a wealth of knowledge in regards to children’s activities and experiences I figure what better than to share that.
Finally, if you share anything on your blog from this blog, please remember to link back. As these are my thoughts and ideas [unless quoted from another source] and I would love for that to be acknowledged.
Thank you for reading and enjoying my blog.

Hi Miss Carly!
I was wondering if I could have your contact email to send you some information on Infant CPR, a great new child care product. We really think that everyone in contact with children should know about the product, and thought your blog was a great place to inform people!
Thank you in advance!

Hi Miss Carly,
As much as I like Lego, I think one of the best educational building toys for preschool and kindy kids is Mobilo, it might be a bit of a plug, but if you have the time, please have a look at http://www.jadremtoys.com.au/mobilo/
thanks

Hi Miss Carly,
First of all I’d like to thank you for the visitors coming to our mobilo resources page at http://www.jadremtoys.com.au/mobilo/ we currently get a few people a week coming over and having a look.
I’m really sorry I missed your Space City LEGO promotion, I love LEGO but you also know I love using Mobilo with the younger kids for colour and shape recognition.
So keeping with the space theme, we’ve built a cute little Moon Buggy and Satellite Dish at http://www.jadremtoys.com.au/resources/how-to.php?id=12&name=Mobilo-Moon-Buggy
Hope you like it

My preschool is going through a bit of a financial crisis right now. We have been a Head Start partnership program since we started about 15 years ago but they just gave us notice that are not going to renew our contract for one reason after another as we have problem solved and came up with solutions. We have gone over our budget several times and the closest we can get it to somewhat stable without the aid from Head Start is still 11,000 in the negative. We just received our NAEYC accreditation this February, and after that long, hard but worthwhile process I do not want to give up so quickly. We want to give it a try on our own without having to raise our rates too much so that we can still provide quality care to low-income families in our community, being one of very few facilities to do so. Do you have any ideas or suggestions about potential backers or foundations that would be willing to support our cause? Thanks for your help!
