A few weeks ago, I was asked if I wanted to review a Protect-a-Bed product. About a week later I received my ‘Fitted Quilted Mattress Pad‘ {Terry Surface} as well as some goodies for you!
I told the boyfriend and him being the comedian that he is, questioned “But I don’t wet the bed.” Before proceeding to ask how we are meant to effectively test the mattress protector.
Water, I said. Water will be used.
But before I even put it on the bed, I had a moment of doubt. We currently have an electric blanket on the bed and I wasn’t entirely sure if it could or should be put on top of the electric blanket.
I made a quick call to their 1300 number and spoke with a very lovely lady on the phone. She was brilliant! Very understanding. I must say that is some of the best customer service I have ever had over the phone! She explained that it would be absolutely fine over the top.
That night we had one of the warmest sleeps. The mattress protector managed to keep the heat in, very well. So, maybe something to be mindful of if using with younger children to not leave the electric blanket on too long.
Water wise. It is super absorbent. As far as mattress protectors go this one is quite good.
One thing that I love about it, is that my boyfriend has a lot of sinus problems. His hayfever usually plays up a lot during summer and dust is a common problem. So seeing that the mattress protector is “healthy, anti-allergy” is fantastic.
So, would I tell you all to run out a buy one? For the queen bed, probably not unless it was really needed for incontinence or allergy-wise. If it was for children and you were getting a single bed, definitely! But, for us, seeing though the boyfriend does have a lot of allergy problems, it is definitely a keeper. He no longer is sneezing all the time!
So a huge thank you to Protect-a-Bed for allowing me to review their product, we love it!

I have two Drawsheets [RRP $39.99] and one single bed Fitted Quilted Mattress Pad [RRP $59.99] {the single bed version of the one I tested!}
